Changes to UK Immigration Rules for Skilled Workers

The Home Office has published a Statement of Changes to the Immigration Rules, introducing substantial amendments to the Skilled Worker route. These changes, effective from April 2024, will impact both employers sponsoring overseas workers and individuals seeking to work in the UK.

Salary Threshold Changes

The minimum salary threshold for Skilled Worker visas will increase from £26,200 to £38,700 per year. However, occupations on the shortage occupation list and new entrants to the labour market will benefit from reduced thresholds.
